We ended the 2005 Supras Invade Las Vegas with a bang. After many heated keyboard battles it was finally time for the drags. This year we shared the track with the Grand Nationals, a bunch of Top Comp cars making 200+ mph passes, and one WICKED Top Fuel Funnycar!

After much anticipation we were able to line up a race between a Grand National and a Supra. Both were running in the 8s in the quarter and this was going to be an exciting race. We heard rumors of money being tossed around but in the end it wound up being for grins. Both cars staged and the lights ticked down. You'll have to buy the video to find out what happened next.
So many fun races to watch. The Grand Nationals were making a good showing but not as good as the Top Comp group. WOW! At least that's what we thought until the Funnycar lined up and shook the stands.
If you got tired of watching car after car zip down the track there was a car show, DJ, and a live band to keep you entertained. Near the end of the evening was even the "Fantasy Schoolgirl" contest. One of our own participants entered the contest and no matter how loudly we cheared for her to make it to the final 5 she was cut. |
