The only track day officially part of the annual SILV event was back in 2002 and we've been trying each year to bring this incredible activity back to the schedule ever since. The track in Pahrump has gone through some major changes since we were last there and I've heard they made an already awesome track even more incredible. The track consists of a 3.5-mile purpose built track that has a 37 foot minimum width throughout. The original track has elevation changes totaling approximately 50 feet. One of the corners is an exact duplicate of the hairpin at Mosport - known as Moss Corner. The new track adds an additional 1.5 miles and includes two banked corners, one blind upsweeping corner and one technical off camber corner. Overall, this track keeps the car in constant transition making it very exciting.
While we were not able to secure the track for our use this year the Porsche Club of America San Diego Region is running the track the weekend we are in Las Vegas. They are open to have some Supras come out and share the track with them. If you are interested in running on a road course this year in Vegas you won't want to miss out on this opportunity.
